In the fortified towers of the castle of the queen of the charming poet Bavmoreda, the prisoner gives birth to a child, according to an old prophecy, will put an end to the Queen's reign. The mother saves her child from Bafforda's anger and is forced to throw her birthplace into the river before the Queen's dogs arrive. The river brings the child near the village of Nelwyns, and finds it 'Little Willow' and adopts it. When Hounds arrives at the village, Willow begins a difficult journey to bring the child back to his people and fulfill the prophecy.
