West of Sunshine

The story tells of more of Jim's powerful adventures after separating from his family and falling into the cycle of gambling and debt. Jim seems to have less than a day to pay his debts. But on the other hand, his day may be turned upside down when he has to take care of his young. Jim is trying hard to pay his debts and protect his son, who has to choose between his past and a second chance in life, which seems very difficult.

Film Threat
February 06, 2019 All of the performances are at least solid, and for an indie, the production value is impressive. It won't reduce you to a weeping mess, but at 78 minutes it's a trim, satisfying drama that does justice to its inspirations.

September 12, 2018 The endearing dynamic between the central father and son isn't enough to disguise the frailty of this material, as it lacks any continuity of suspense or the urgency necessary for hard-hitting stories like this.
