Dunkirk

The story of more than three hundred soldiers that were rescued by miracle during the Dunkirk operation that took place at the beginning of the Second World War is shown in this movie. It starts with the hundreds of thousands of British and allied forces encirclement by the enemy forces. First they are trapped on the beach and then forced to face an incredible situation as they get back to the sea, while the enemy forces' control grows more and more.

July 24, 2017 It's a curious mix of old fashioned mawkishness, dewy eyed, if understated, patriotism, and contemporary art house narratological experimentation. It is, appropriately, very British (as we like to think of ourselves).
