American actor and playwright Thomas Rhett Kee was born in Rockford IL. His love for acting began in high school and continued in college at Eastern Illinois University. He ultimately received an M.F.A. in Acting from Brandies University. His first paid acting job was as a part of a renegade troupe of improv artists attached to the Sterling Renaissance Faire. His first film role was in the classic "School Ties" (1992).After college Tom moved Los Angeles where he appeared in theatre as well as on "Days of Our Lives." He returned to the East Coast in the late 90's and worked extensively as an Equity actor as well as in commercials and industrial films. He also appeared a number of times on All My Children and As The World Turns during this period as well as completing "Children of the Struggle" (1999) and "The Reawakening" (2004).Settling in Boston around 2007, he again turned to the theatre. He was in the original American cast of the A.R.T./Punchdrunk UK production "Sleep No More", as well as appearing at Shakespeare & Company, Boston Playwright's Theatre, Bridge Rep, Wellfleet Harbor Actor's Theatre (WHAT), the Vineyard Playhouse, New Repertory Theatre, New Century Theatre, and Stoneham Theatre. As an actor in Boston he has also returned to "All My Children" on occasion as well as filming "The Company Men" (2010) and "Purge 3: Election Year" (2016). He recently worked with the brilliant director John Curran on the upcoming "Chappaquiddick" (2017).As a playwright, Tom's full-length play (Mary's Little Monster) opened at the Davenport Theatre in NYC in November of 2016 two months after his co-authored immersive production of "The Summer I Disappeared" opened at the Ophelia Theatre in NYC. His short play (Richard Harvey Square) premiered in NYC in early 2015. In 2012 his play "Nothing Personal" was presented as part of the The American Globe Theatre's "15 Minute Play Festival" in New York City. Show less «
