Stephanie May is an award winning, international actor. Born in Sydney's west in 1990 she took up dancing at the age of 4 at the Pendle Hill Dance Academy. Her family soon moved to Penrith where she took up acting, at Mountains Youth Theatre, where she stayed for over 5 years doing various productions such as A Midsummer's Night's Dream. Soon after, at the age of 15 Stephanie joined up to an Extras agency and less than a week later, landed herself her first extras role on a popular TV series. In only a few short years, Stephanie has worked with some of the hottest directors, producers, series and actors around today. In 2011 however, Stephanie began her career in modeling even becoming "the face of" two different companies: "Original and Authentic Handbags, and Veducci Clothing". She appeared on the runway and in several magazines and newspapers that year, but it was acting that Stephanie wanted to pursue. It was also in 2011, that Stephanie gained her first speaking role, on the American TV series, Deadly Women and the Australian TV series Eerie Encounters. The ball has continually rolled ever since with many award winning features and TV series under her belt. The 2012 movie, The Navigator, is an official selection of the Kansas International Film Festival under the "best film" category as well as the Mississippi's Sun and Sand film festival. Additionally, the movie Drown, directed by Dean Francis, has recently been picked up in the US, the UK and Germany for a 2015 theatrical release in cinemas. Stephanie has also worked alongside Winner and Losers star Michala Banas in a new TV show called Sweatshop based in Melbourne. Stephanie's latest adventure was flying over to North Carolina for the feature film "Blue Mountain State" starring Alan Ritchson (Hunger Games, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Jimmy Tatro (22 Jump Street, Grown Up's 2) Lev L. Spiro, (an Emmy award winning director for Gilmore Girls and Modern Family) directed the film which is being distributed by Lionsgate. In 2016 she worked alongside the Logie award-winner Claire Van Der Boom in Broke(also starring Brendan Cowell, Max Cullen.) 2017 is shaping up to be a big year with three Aussie films under her belt including, Book Week (starring Brendan Cowell), Dunamis (starring Mark Hunt and narrated by Sir Anthony Hopkins) and Are You Scared Yet starring Doug Hutchinson (The Green Mile.)
