Bassist Nigel Harrison was born on April 24, 1951 in Stockport, Cheshire, England. Nigel lived in Princes Risborough near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire in the early 70s. He was the bassist for the local band Farm and later both toured and recorded with the group Silverhead from 1972 to 1974. In November, 1977 Harrison joined the hugely popular and innovative New Wave band Blondie and remained a member of the group until 1982. Moreover, Nigel co-wrote the hit Blondie songs "One Way or Another" and "Union City Blue." Harrison was the bassist for the band Chequered Past from 1982 to 1984. He composed the score for the low-budget action film "Nightforce" and was the music supervisor for the quirky comedy "Tapeheads." In 1997 Nigel rejoined Blondie, but was quickly dropped from the group. More recently Harrison has played bass for the experimental power pop band the Grabs. Show less «
