Mariela Hill

Mariela Hill, is an Afro-Latina from Ibarra, Ecuador. Since Spanish was her first language when she entered into first grade and had to learn to speak, read, and write English- Mariela was extremely shy and would rarely talk. Her parents and teacher didn't know how to break Mariela out of her shell, so they decided to enroll her into theatre and dance classes. As they say, the rest is history!Mariela got cast in her first lead in the musical, A Little Princess at age 9 and have been done over twenty musicals!After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a BA in Musical Theatre and a Master's in Elementary Education, Mariela moved to Washington, DC and taught early childhood/ elementary school for six years. She wanted to make an impact in the lives of children the way her own teachers had done for her, and expose her students to as many wonderful opportunities as possible. Mariela also tried to teach their parents helpful resources both online and in the community so they could better their child's lives as well.In 2012, Mariela Hill started to delve into film (tv, commercials, voice overs, industrials, print) and has been acting full-time ever since!
