Kimberly Green was born in Seoul, Korea to a Korean mother and Puerto Rican father. Years later on a blind date, her mother met her soon to be American step- father, a soldier in the Air Force. The nature of his career kept the family moving from Austin, Texas to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Japan until finally settling in Sellersburg, Indiana. Kimberly proved to be a natural athlete in high school, excelling in track and field, volleyball, and basketball, but her senior year she decided she wanted to hang up her basketball jersey and try out for cheerleading. She made the team, was chosen Co-Captain and was named All- American. Kimberly also got her first taste of acting her senior year in drama class, performing in classics such as "Arsenic and Old Lace" where she played Martha, and dancing and singing in the chorus in "Singing in the Rain" and "The Nutcracker". She was scouted to play volleyball at Thomas Moore College in Kentucky but right before the school year started she decided to attend Indiana University. A fellow high school cheerleader talked her into trying out for the dance team. With very little dance experience Kimberly made the team, to be up to speed with the rest of the dancers she started training at Jacob's School of Music Ballet Program. With persistence and hard work she was most improved her sophomore year, captain her senior year and became a Universal Dance Association Dance instructor teaching dance camps through out the Midwest. In 2001 after graduating with a degree in Kinesiology, Kimberly moved to Los Angeles to pursue her passion for dance, she booked a dance agent at an open call audition, danced professionally for the Avengers Arena football dance team and booked a role playing a cheerleader in The Hot Chick (2002) with Rachel Mc Adams. While filming she met a preacher's kid who asked her to travel the world with him doing Art Auctions at sea for Princess Cruise Lines (2004-2006). After an auction a passenger, loving her presence on the stage, gave her Stella Adler's book "The Art of Acting". The book resonated with her in a strong way. It didn't take her long to quit ships and start her studies at the Stella Adler Acting Academy in Los Angeles (2006-2008), performing in plays such as Two Women and a Chair, Eleemosynary, and Cabaret. Not ever losing the dancing bug she taught salsa lessons with Actor/Dancer Walter Jones (I) while managing and producing The Floor Show" a live original performance of LA's best musicians and dancers with producers Carolina Cerisola and Sascha Escandon (2009-2011).From 2012-2014 she trained with Gregory Berger-Sobeck Artistic Director of the Berg Studios in Los Angeles and On Camera Coach at the Yale School of Drama. In 2014 she performed 2 roles in the Fringe Festival Play "Lost in Falling" as the Doctor and Kelly. She was Lana in the short film "Form" (2015) that was accepted in the Cine and The On-line film Festival. In 2016 Kimberly booked the role of Kelly in LA's longest running comedy "It's Just Sex". and what a whirlwind of a performance she gives. She has so much character and zest. Kimberly gets angry one second and falls in love the next and above it all has to respond to her co-star's performance with such fluctuations that it was like watching a 'comedy tennis match' between the two of them. She gave as good of comedy hits as he did! So much fun!Kimberly was asked to do a scene for a final audition at the Actors Studio West. Even though she was not auditioning, the judges liked her very much and invited her to become a "Working Finalist". Kimberly also continues coaching with Method acting coach Tony Greco. Show less «
