Mars Yang is ethnic Chinese, but was born and raised in South Korea. He attended university in Taiwan, before immigrating to the US with his wife, daughter and son in 1990. He taught high school in Korea for ten years and is an entrepreneur. Mars Yang is fluent is Mandarin and Korean.
